Tagged by Vicki

10 years ago: I was in grade 6, in "love" with a boy we called Snathan, and crazy about dc Talk. I had just met Becci, who then spelled her name the normal way (Becky).

5 years ago: I was in grade 12, in real love with Todd, planning to go away to university.

1 year ago: I was in Waterloo, attending university, hating it and anxiously waiting for the day I could get married.

Yesterday: I went to the market downtown Ottawa with my husband. We ate samosas and Beaver Tails and bought a pumpkin.

5 snacks I enjoy: Fudgsicles, Chocolate of any kind, Pears, Oranges, Pomegranates.

5 things I would do with 100 million dollars: Right off I would designate half of it for God and charity. Then I'd pay off my debts, pay off Todd's debts, share with family and friends, and buy a house.

5 places I would run away to: I like being home. I really don't enjoy travelling at all. So places I would go would likely be variations of home, i.e. My parents' house, my old neighbourhood in Waterloo, Braeside, and maybe the beach. But most of all, I'd rather stay here in my cozy little apartment.

5 things I wouldn't be caught dead in: I'd wear pretty much anything. Except maybe a bikini.

5 favourite shows: LOST, ER, Crossing Jordan, Corner Gas, and...... that's about it. I don't really watch that much tv.

5 bad habits: Biting my nails, Being Picky (according to Todd), Leave stuff lying around, and probably lots more.

5 biggest joys: God, my husband, my family, knitting, and eating.

5 favourite toys: Yarn. Knitting Needles. The computer & internet. Rubber Duckies. And more yarn.

Tagging: Kris, Justin, Bre, Jedi, Jen, Rob, Cynthia.

Scrabble

Todd and I played Scrabble again the other night.

He totally beat me with a score of 315.

Somebody go ask Scott if he's impressed.

Exclamations

I just beat Todd at Scrabble. It was a very very close game though (4 points) and he came back from a big difference at the outset. Good game.

My wonderful husband bought me a Hanson cd/dvd the other day!!! Hanson!!! Dvd!!!! As a GIFT!!!!! This is a smart man that I married. very intelligent indeed. : D

We got a postcard from Kris on Friday. She was in Inverness at the time. Thanks Kristy! You made my day. I smiled all the way to work. : )

We also got mail from Leigh last week. Thanks for the school photo Leigh! It's good. You're a cutie. ; )

That's all for tonight.

See ya!

Things I Have Recently Made

This green and white hat was for Ian's birthday.
The striped socks I made for Todd in the summer.
This lace scarf I just finished last week for myself.
This grey hat I made for a guy I work with (a staff member).
Everything I am currently working on is a gift so I can't tell anything about it. After Christmas there will be many more pictures. I'm almost done my Christmas shopping, and I'm a good way through my Christmas knitting. I am so on the ball this year! Too bad I'm not as with-it for my Thank You cards. Soon.... very soon they shall be mailed out. I feel like such a slacker. : (

Justin

Today is Justin's birthday. This fact is supposed to be a secret. But I think that's just stupid. So, I am declaring this a nonsecret as of now.

Happy Birthday Justin! I hope your evening goes well.

<---- Just for fun, here's a picture of Justin and Morgan/Bre being attacked by Shelob. (Not actually Shelob, it's a sculpture depicting the artist's mother. Some people are just plain bizarre!)

Mr. & Mrs.

As I'm sure you all know, Todd and I got married about a month and a half ago. I haven't posted any pictures though, because I didn't know how until a couple days ago. So..... here's a photo of us on our wedding day.

If any of you have digital pictures from that day, I'd appreciate getting copies of them. Email them or send me links to online galleries or whatever you have. We have many hard copies of photos from our photographer, but they aren't nearly as easy to share as digital pics. Please and Thank you.

That's all for tonight. We just got back from a sneek preview screening of The Legend of Zorro (thanks to Aaron and Marcella!) and we both have to work at 7am so we're off to bed.

Goodnight!

Littlefoot

Todd makes all sorts of crazy faces all the time. This one is my favourite - he reminds me of Littlefoot the dinosaur.

Aaaaahhhhh!

<--- This is my favourite part of Ottawa - the crazy unicorn on the front of the Parliament buildings.

This is Justin imitating the unicorn. --->
Crazy kid.

My Good Husband

My good husband picks me up from work every night so that I won't get attacked by the darkness.

He also writes thank you cards to relatives when I ask.

He also cleans the apartment and loves to vacuum.

He gives me back rubs and likes to cuddle.

And, to top it all off he bought me roses the other night!

Lost

2 points:

1. I really like the tv show LOST. It's my new favourite. It has replaced ER. It's that good. If you haven't been watching, you should start.

2. I have no sense of direction. Almost every time I do the van run at work I get lost. Yesterday was horrible. I was so late picking up the one guy from work that everyone was gone, all the lights were out, and one of the office staff had to stay almost an hour late to wait with him until I came. That's how lost I got.
Last week I got lost and had to call the group home on my cell phone and for 10 minutes I talked to my manager while he looked things up on Mapquest to help me get back to the home.

I'm afraid people are going to start getting annoyed but at least I'm getting to know the city a bit.

Pop, Books, Music, & of course Knitting

Well, I don't have much to say today. I went shopping briefly today with my Mother-In-Law. Got all the heavy stuff that I wouldn't want to take on the bus (turkey, huge tub of margarine, & pop (including Club Soda - just for you Justin!).) It's nice to have access to a car sometimes.

We went out for dinner last night with Ian. I gave him the hat I knitted him and he seemed to like it. I made another hat for a guy I work with. I really like it. I'm afraid it'll be a bit small fro him, in which case I'll just have to keep it for myself and knit him another. Hmmm, that might not be such a bad plan..... (j/k)

I'm listening to Rod Stewart. He's great. I need to get more of his albums.

I went to Chapters and found a few knitting books that I want. Sometime when I have more money......

That's all for now.

Bye.

Something Else...

Something else that makes me happy: I have new people to knit for! I'm currently making a hat for a guy I work with. And there are a couple babies on the way so that might provide some more opportunity to knit.
